Late at night, things become quieter.
There are fewer sounds, fewer messages, fewer interruptions. The pace of the day slows down, and the surroundings feel more still.
During these hours, thoughts seem to move differently.
Ideas that were not noticeable during the day begin to appear. Small details return. Past moments come to mind without being called.
It can happen while lying in bed, or sitting in a dimly lit room, or simply looking at nothing in particular.
Time feels less structured.
There is no clear starting point. One thought leads to another, then to something else that does not seem directly related.
The process is not always intentional.
It continues for a while, and then gradually fades as sleep approaches.
