Time moves in a steady way, yet it does not always feel steady.
There are moments that seem to stretch.
Seconds linger. Small actions take longer than expected. The space between one moment and the next becomes more noticeable.
Nothing unusual is happening.
Still, the passage of time feels more present, as if it can be sensed directly.
At other times, the same length of time passes without being noticed.
Minutes move quickly. One moment leads into another without pause. It becomes difficult to mark where one part ends and the next begins.
The surroundings may not change.
The same place, the same activity, the same conditions.
Yet the feeling of time shifts quietly, without a clear signal.
Afterwards, it is only the sense of it that remains, not the movement itself.
